Hello!
I am so happy to receive your letters! Every time I open them, I catch myself thinking that you can make my day so much better.
It's a strange feeling - when your letters, even just lines on the screen, can make me smile. Thank you for that, really.
Today I want to share with you wonderful memories of our recent trip with my mother to the Black Sea, to Sochi. This place is truly magical!
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by amazing nature: mountains hugging the city, and the azure sea, which beckoned with its calm blue.
We visited the famous Riviera Park, walked along its alleys, enjoying the fresh air and flowering plants.
There are such beautiful fountains there, and it was so nice to relax in the shade of the trees. It feels like time is slowing down all the time, and you can just enjoy the moment.
And the embankment is just a fairy tale! Beautiful sunsets, when the sky turns pink and orange, and the sea seems to become part of the sky.
The most amazing thing was when my mother and I decided to go for a boat ride. The wind in my face, the sea salt on my skin - such a feeling of freedom that I was ready to forget about everything in the world. We sailed to one of the beaches, where local fishermen told us how they catch sturgeon. It was so unusual - you're standing on a boat, and there's only the sea and mountains around.
I kept thinking how wonderful it would be for you here - you and I would sit on this boat together, listen to the fishermen's stories and enjoy the silence around us.
And here's a funny story. My mother and I decided to go to Sochi Park. There was an attraction there, on which we were both terribly scared. It was supposedly for children, but when my mother and I were lifted to a huge height, it seemed like we were about to fall. We were laughing with fear, and people around us were looking at us in surprise. It was funny and scary at the same time.
After that, of course, we were happy like children, because we had experienced something together.
But, you know, when I stood on the shore and looked at the sea, I really missed you. I wanted to share this moment with you, so that you could also see how magnificent this world is, how wonderful it is here, and how easy it is to get lost in this beauty. Sometimes it seems to me that traveling is not only about places, but also about the people with whom you share them.
And I miss you so much...
What a pity that because my phone broke, I won’t be able to send you photos. There were such gorgeous pictures, but unfortunately I couldn’t save them.
I hope that one day we can go on such trips together. I’m sure we will have something to talk about and something to remember.
Have you had any trips that left special memories? I am so interested to hear your stories, and I am sure that you have also been to places that make you think about something important. Write to me, tell me how it was for you!
Yours Anastasiia.
